Simple Mobile Review

Simple Mobile is an MVNO of the T-Mobile network. They offer unlimited talk, text, and data plans. Users can bring their own unlocked GSM devices, rather than buying a new phone.

Pros: The plans are laid out in an easy to understand format. The ability to bring your own device can save money.

Cons: The phones they offer get quite expensive, since they're unsubsidized.

Solid service and good 3G data speeds, high reliability. (AT&T's network.) They have been advertising heavily and may be the next MetroPCS. You can compare prepaid plans at

I newly activated a service via phone call and the representative did not ask whether I wanted to transfer the existing phone number I used before setting up the service. Then I had to make another phone call and was first asked to purchase another SIM card and pay additional fees which I angrily declined. Then the rep said he was able to transfer the number and asked me to wait for 4 to 17 hours. After waiting forever without a phone to use, I still could not make calls. Made another series of calls to simple mobile via my roommate's phone and I was told a replacement SIM card will be mailed to my address. That is, I HAD TO WAIT 3 TO 5 DAYS TO MAKE A PHONE CALL!!! This I found ridiculous as I could neither pick the SIM up at their stores to hasten the process nor did they offer to provide me a backup SIM to use for those few but long days. To make matters worse, they still expected me to pay for those days I did not have the service. This was a nightmare and brought me to tears.

I love Simple Mobile, I'm on the unlimited 4G plan ($50) and so far so good. Fast speeds and coverage everywhere, it's a plus that they use Tmobile network. People complain too much, take your phone to a store for them to check what's wrong (tmobiles phones should work perfectly on simple). I love it. Boost mobile sucks, Metro pcs suckc. Simple rocks!

$40 plan is OK. Not a lot of problems, but it is NOT nationwide everywhere coverage. Customer no-service in India is a -23,456,789 stars. No one does anything except "transfer you to the correct dept". I ask to speak to an US supervisor and was told that wasn't an option. Was on autopay for a year, now I'm told I'm not, even with credit card billing details say otherwise. Just emailed corporate; lets see what happens next.

Works great! - I'm a heavy 4G data user. I started with Simple Mobile $50 Unlimited 4G about 5 months ago. Love it. ... My Sprint-only EVO did not take sim cards. So I sold my EVO for $200 and got a good cond used 'T-mobile MyTouch' for $150. Service always fast and reliable.
