Moto X Pre-Ordering Starts Today

Motorola’s new flagship phone, the second generation Moto X goes on pre-order today, Sept. 16. The phone is available on-contract through AT&T or unlocked (called the Pure Edition) which is meant for any carrier and comes with no contract. The Pure Edition version will cost $499 and on contract, it will be around $100. The Moto X second generation is a definite step up from the original Moto X. Much like it’s predecessor, this phone is designed all around the user experience and had some pretty cool features. But first, check out the hardware:
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
  • Screen: 5.2-inch screen
  • 1080p Super AMOLED display (423 PPI)
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16 or 32GB Memory
  • 13MP rear camera
  • 2MP front camera
  • 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery
Much like the original Moto X, you can customize the back, front and trim details of your phone. They offer an engraving option as well, which is pretty cool. This phone has a few features that the original Moto X doesn’t have, like gestures and such. For a full review, check out this review on Gizmodo for a great breakdown of the user experience.
