Ultra Mobile and Univision Mobile Change Plan Lineups

Ultra Mobile and its subsidiary company Univision have made some plan changes recently. The changes include removal of the $30 plans, the introduction of a new $54 plan, and the increase in data for the $45 plans. Mint Sim, also owned by Ultra Mobile, was unchanged. We’ll take a look at the Ultra Mobile plans first. All plans come with unlimited talk and text as well as unlimited international texting. We’ll outline the rest below (changes in bold):
  • $19 – 100 MB 4G data, $1.25 call anywhere credit, $5 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 60+ destinations
  • $24 – 500 MB 4G data, $7 call anywhere credit, $10 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 30+ destinations
  • $29 – 1 GB 4G data, 1 GB 3G data, unlimited 2G data, $2.50 call anywhere credit, $10 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 60+ destinations
  • $34 – 2 GB 4G data, 2 GB 3G data, unlimited 2G data, $10 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 60+ destinations
  • $45 – 5 GB 4G data, 5 GB 3G data (formerly 2 GB), unlimited 2G data, $15 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 60+ destinations
  • $49 – 2 GB 4G data, 2 GB 3G data, unlimited 2G data, $20 call anywhere credit, $15 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 30+ destinations
  • $54 – 10 GB 4G data, 10 GB 3G data, unlimited 2G data, $15 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 60+ destinations
It should be noted that those prices are before taxes and fees, which will vary by state. You can check out the international calling country options here. Univision Mobile has had the exact same plan changes, but since the international options are different (and definitely worse) we’ll still go ahead and list them out as well. Once again, all plans include unlimited talk and text as well as unlimited international text. Changes will be in bold.

  • $45 – 5 GB 4G data, 5 GB 3G data (formerly 2 GB), $15 roaming credit, unlimited talk to 14 destinations

These plans, while minute, are at least for the better. Univision and Ultra both changed plan lineups earlier this year with the addition of Data Xtra (which grants 3G data in addition to 4G), so this is obviously simply an attempt to help remove less popular plans and straighten up the lineup. Both Ultra and Univision offer service through T-Mobile and they both also allow for device activation.
