Cricket Wireless to get ZTE Grand X Max+

Cricket Wireless and Chinese phone maker ZTE partnered together at the Consumer Electronics Show on Monday to debut ZTE’s new flagship phone, the ZTE Grand X Max Plus. This phone will be exclusive to Cricket Wireless and is designed to be an affordable flagship for the prepaid market. Personally, I think a phone like this is a long time in coming, as the prepaid market doesn’t really have many phones that can even begin to compete with other flagships in specs without carrying the outrageous flagship price. ZTE said that their goal was to give the prepaid market exactly that and, with the new phone priced $200 off-contract, I would say that they have succeeded. Here’s some of the other specs I could gather for the ZTE Grand X Max Plus:
  • Android 4.4
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • 1.2 GHz quad-core processor
  • 16 GB memory
  • SD slot (up to 32 GB)
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Bluetooth
  • 6 inch screen
  • 5 MP front camera with wide angle lens
  • 13 MP back camera
  • 3200 mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 technology
The device is expected to be available at Cricket stores and online this Friday, January 9 and you can activate it on any of Cricket’s plans, which range from $40 – $60. For more information, check out Cricket Wireless.]]>
