Cricket to Carry Lumia 635

AT&T owned MVNO Cricket Wireless will be expanding their smartphone lineup starting this Friday, Nov. 7 with the Nokia Lumia 635. This mid-range smartphone is an excellent value if you live in a area with 4G coverage and would be an excellent introduction to the Windows phone platform. Previously only available for prepaid through MetroPCS, this LTE-ready phone will cost for $99 and comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1 which includes the snarky personal assistant, Cortana. The Lumia 635 is a step up from the popular 630. Here are the specs I could find. It’s worth noting that there are a couple different generations of this phone, so these might vary slightly from the actual phone Cricket carries. Anyway, here are the base hardware specs:
• Windows 8.1
• 4.5 inch screen
• 1.2 GHz quad core
• Snapdragon 400 processor
• 512 MB RAM
• 8 GB memory
• microSD slot, up to 128 GB
• 5 MP camera
• 4G LTE ready
• Gorilla Glass screen
The device will also come with various entertainment services such as Kid’s Corner, so you can control which apps and games your child can access on their own profile on the device, Xbox Live for gaming on the go, and premium free services from MixRadio, HERE Drive+, HERE Maps and Microsoft Office (of course). Cricket offers several low-cost plan options starting at $40, as well as an instant $5 rebate when you sign up for Auto Pay. To take a peek at their plan options, check out their website.]]>
