Cricket Wireless, the AT&T-owned prepaid company, announced yesterday that it will be adding yet another Windows phone to its prepaid phone line up. The Lumia 640 is a 4G LTE-ready phone that is aimed at mid-range users and boasts a pretty decent camera for the price as well as several other free add-ons when you purchase it new. The Lumia 640 itself is definitely not a flagship but is designed to get the job done. The phone has a modest 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB of RAM which should be able to handle most basic tasks. The device comes with 8 GB of memory and a microSD card slot for expanding memory. It boasts an 8 MP back camera and a front camera as well as a replaceable battery. Read more about the specs here. Customers who buy a Lumia 640 from Cricket between May 15, 2015 and June 30, 2015 will also receive 60 minutes of Skype calling every month as well as free year of access to Office 365 Personal, including the full desktop version for editing, creating and viewing office documents on whatever device you are using. The Lumia 640 is already planned to be available from MetroPCS and T-Mobile, but will be hitting Cricket Stores today. The device is also available online and will retail for $129.99. The device can be purchased with any of Cricket’s prepaid monthly plans, and may be eligible for the credit-check payment program. Visit Cricket Wireless for more information.]]>
