Galaxy S6 Coming to Boost April 10

Sprint prepaid brand Boost Mobile officially announced yesterday via Facebook that it will be carrying the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 starting April 10. While it isn’t news that the prepaid carrier will have the S6, I was a little surprised that they will be getting it so early–April 10 is the same day that the postpaid carriers will be selling the new device. If you hadn’t heard, the new S6 has been turning heads and making noise since its debut at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. This successor to the dreadfully ugly Galaxy S5 and the far more successful S4 has a very sleek and sexy look with some pretty sweet features like wireless charging, a fingerprint sensor, heart monitor and a thinner and lighter footprint than the S5. However, all of that sleek does have a couple of major drawbacks that have been earning the distain of phone critics before the device has even launched. The new S6 will not only lack an expandable SD card slot but also has a non-removable battery. The device will retail for $599.99 through Boost Mobile. Here are some of the other specs that have been released:
  •  Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • 5.1″ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and 1140 x 2560 pixels
  • Samsung Exynos 7420 eight core 2.1 Ghz 64 bit processor
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 32, 64 or 128 GB memory (unlikely 128 will be available via Boost)
  • 16 MP back camera
  • 5 MP front camera
You can pre-register to get your hands on one of these devices now and with how anticipated this phone is, I might recommend it if you’re at all considering purchasing the device.]]>
