In response to the slightly calmer and more relaxed political environment between the United States and Cuba, Boost Mobile introduced a new plan today designed for Miami residents only. The plans, called Cuba Monthly Connect offer consumers a way to keep in touch with their friends and loved ones in Cuba.
Boost Mobile is currently offering two limited time Cuba Connect plans for new customers:
- $50 – unlimited talk, text, low speed internet and texting to cuba, 5 GB high speed data, 15 minutes calling Cuban landlines
- $60 – unlimited talk, text, low speed internet and texting to cuba, 10 GB high speed data, 15 minutes calling Cuban landlines
Cuba Connect Promotion
In honor of these limited-time plans, Boost Mobile has two promotions going on to coincide with the Cuba calling plans.For new customers: New customers can qualify for a free 4G LTE phone plus an additional free 25 m inutes of calling to Cuba for the first month. To be eligible for this promotion, customers must port from a non-Sprint carrier. Customers must pay for the first month’s service, and may pick from select 4G LTE phones. Tax is not included.
For current customrs: During this promotion, Boost is also offering current customers a Cuban Calling add-on, which will cost $15. This will give customers a full 50 minutes of calling to Cuba and unlimited texting, which is a far better value. After the 50 minutes have been spent, customers will be charged at the rate of $1 per minute.
Both of these promotions are set to end on May 31, 2015, unless Boost extends it. You can read more about this promotion here, or check out Boost Mobile’s website. To be frank though, if you’re really interested in calling Cuba, I might recommend looking into someone a little less expensive, such as Ultra Mobile, which offers more included minutes and a rate per minute of about $0.50 for calling Cuba.]]>
