Boost Mobile Offers $10 TV Streaming

Sprint’s Boost Mobile announced earlier this week that it will now be offering customers a Sports TV streaming add-on so that customers can stream their favorite sporting events from their Boost Mobile phones. Called boostTV, this is the first TV service to be offered by a prepaid company and is available both to new and current Boost Mobile users. Users can access the TV streaming service for free and gain several channels including:
  • Associated Press
  • Astrologer
  • CelebTV
  • Fashionbox (LIVE)
  • Howdini
  • Jannus TV
  • Latin American Sports
  • MHz Worldview (LIVE)
  • Moshcam
  • Splash News
  • The Broadway Channel
  • The WSJ Digital Network
  • The Young Turks
  • Vevo Music
  • We The Economy
Sports enthusiasts can choose to subscribe to a $10/month premium add-on in order to access additional sports channels such as AyM Sports, Azteca America, BeIN Sports, BeIN Sports en Español, Fightbox, Latin American Sports and TyC. Several live soccer (football) events will also be streamed via the $10 service includes the 2015 Copa America, Primera division, Copa Argentina, Liga MX, Copa MX, Serie A and more. Of course, as with all things, there is a catch: the streaming speeds are limited to 3G, and the data used in streaming will be drawn from your normal monthly data allotment. Of course, with Boost currently running promotions that will give users 10 GB of data per phone per month, you might still be able to watch some shows. You can, of course, simply connect to Wifi and not use any data at all. BoostTV is not available for TV, tablets or computers. In fact, currently the BoostTV service only works with a select Android phones:
  • Boost MAX by ZTE
  • HTC Desire 510
  • Kyocera Hydro Icon
  • LG G2
  • LG GStylo
  • LG Realm
  • LG Volt
  • LG Tribute
  • Motorola Moto E
  • Motorola Moto G
  • Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE
  • Samsung Galaxy S3
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • Samsung Galaxy S6
  • Sharp AQUOS Crystal
  • ZTE Speed
  • ZTE Warp Sync
Boost says that more phones will be added soon. The boostTV service can be accessed on compatible devices via an app. While there aresome free services, the $10 premium subscription is required in order to access the sport channels. You can subscribe to the service via the free app or by contacting your local Boost store. For more information about boost TV, visit Boost’s website or check out their FAQ.]]>
