Overview

Ready Mobile is an MVNO which was founded in 2006. In 2007 Titan Wireless acquired certain assets, making Ready an subsidiary of Titan.

Pros:
Ready Mobile has a number of plans to fit most budgets and usage levels. It also has cheap per-minute rates.

Cons: Pay-as-you-go minutes expire in 30 days unless you top up before that. Minutes do roll over, but only up to 90 days.

Detailed Provider Information

Plans: Ready Mobile offers two top-up cards for their standard pay-as-you-go service. The first is for 25 dollars and provides 500 minutes, or 5 cents per minute. This comes with 50 free text messages. The second is for 45 dollars and provides 900 anytime minutes, again 5 cents per minute. This card includes 100 free text messages. There are also seven tiers of their Nights & Weekends plans. They range from 10 to 150 dollars, and provide a varying level of anytime minutes to go along with the unlimited 9 p.m. nights and weekends. Customers must have peak minutes remaining in their account in order to use unlimited nights and weekends. Finally, Ready Mobile carries three unlimited voice plans. The first lasts three days, comes with 40 free text messages, and costs $9.99. The second lasts seven days, comes with 100 free text messages, and costs $14.99. There is also a 30-day one which comes with 400 free text messages and costs $59.99.

Customer Service: Customer service is available via a toll-free number, email, or by dialing 611 from a Ready Mobile phone.

Credit Check: None

Contract: None

Payment Options: Credit or debit card at the website, cash, credit, and debit when purchasing refill cards in stores.

Text and Picture Messaging: After free messages are used up, text messages cost 10 cents each, both incoming and outgoing. Customers of Ready's unlimited plans can purchase an additional 200 messages for $4.99. Unlimited nights and weekends does not apply to text messaging. Picture messaging is not available at this time.

Data Plans: Ready Mobile offers broadband plans which work with a broadband modem, not a smartphone. Refills can be purchased in denominations of 25 dollars for 100MB, 45 dollars for 200MB, and 75 dollars for 500MB.

Downloadables: There are no downloadables at this time.

International Calling: There is no international calling with Ready Mobile.

Roaming Charges: Phones will not work when roaming, but operate on the Sprint nationwide network.

Calling Features: Call waiting, caller ID, and voicemail are included with all plans.

Activation Fee: There is no fee to activate your Ready Mobile phone.

Nationwide Long Distance: Long distance calls are included with anytime minutes.

411 Calls: Directory assistance calls cost $1.95 each plus normal airtime rates.

Earliest Minute Expiration: The two standard pay-as-you-go cards expire in 30 days, though the minutes can roll over for up to 90 days. The 10 dollar Nights & Weekends card expires in 7 days, and the 20 dollar one expires in 14 days. All other Nights & Weekends cards expire in 30 days. For the unlimited voice plans, they expire after the designated period -- 3, 7, or 30 days.

911 Calls: Yes.

Phones: Ready Mobile does not have many phones available on their website, and those are outdated models. Other phones may be available from time to time, and there may be additional options at retail outlets. The models are generic on the website.

I've had AT&T for over 10 years and just got tired of paying the high cost. Service terrible and unresolved complaints so I cancelled my contract. But, I have to say that Ready Mobile is even worse. Thought I'd try out prepaid cause it seemed less expensive. But, I wasted alot of $ today on this piece of crap phone and have no service at all. It says digital roaming. If it's roaming then why do they sell them locally?? I would not advise anyone to purchase this product.

Bought one of these phones at Food Lion for about $40. The phone was in roaming and wouldn't make a call. After checking the coverage map online, there is NO coverage anywhere in my area. Also the phone number that comes with phone was a Texas number and I live in North Carolina. The phone itself was actually refurbished and the battery door didn't fit the phone right and it kept falling off and the battery would fall out. I tried to return it to the store but they wouldn't take it back. Now I will probably have to go through a bunch of crap trying to contact the company to see if I can return it to them.

Pamela Bing 2010/04/27

The only problem I have with ReadyMobile cell service is they do not give you enough days to use your minutes. It has become very expensive and I cannot afford to pay this wen there are companys that have complete plans for cheaper than this.

Ready Mobile Didnt even activate the service yet and have already had problems 1
Eric 2010/04/24

Didnt even activate the service yet and have already had problems with the phone. A blank white screen on the Sanyo S1, and I have to take out the battery each and every time to restart the battery to get it going again. There S1 phones swallow and are on the CHEAP end of the deal. It will make for a good skeet shooting target.

As for the service, I plead the fifth, since I never had it even activated. Sorry Readymobile, but your NOT Ready, at this time.

Ready Mobile By the way I have a Sanyo S1 model phone. 3

Jack the Ripper 2010/01/06

Well, this service uses the sprint network and YES it matters because the sprint network stinks.
Price is a little high but works for what it's worth I suppose.
Migrating to StraightTalk in about a month.

Mojo is a coplete ripoff. They sell sprint refurbs as new without disclosure. They also charge 3 minutes for each call that lasts under a minute. RUN AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS !

Customer service sucks. Did I mention customer service sucks. Have been on hold for over 4 hours and am still listening to lousy elevator music.
You really cant complain about customer service cause there isn't any.

victoria 2008/02/14

i own a mojo mobile phone and recently ran out of minutes i purchased a new 50.00 card for it and when i went to reload my phone it said my account was invalid . i tried to call customer service someone finally came on the line after 15 minutes asked me to hold i waited an additional 45 minutes then they put you through to a recording that says the number is no longer in service if you dial *2 or *611 from your phone it gives you sprint customer service and they are not able to help you i would not recomend buying this phone now i am out 50 for the card and 50 for the phone neither of which is refundable and by the way there are for # on this company and all of them say the same thing

Ready Mobile I feel very upset and pissed for the fact I can't check minutes 3
Nicole 2008/02/04

I feel very upset and pissed for the fact I can't check minutes or speak with customer service. Its too costly for the minutes. Virgin Mobile gives you 600 minutes and unlimited nights + weekends and your minutes are free at 7pm only for 60 bucks compared to Mojo Mobile you pay 75 bucks for 500 minutes it's very frustrating but I needed a phone I had no choice. If you buy this phone Id say this is for people who don't talk alot then you get your money worth but if you are on the phone like me 24-7 then it's a rip off...word.

Kevin 2007/12/27

In my opinion this phone steals minutes from the consumer, when you call to tell them about your problems the operators are very rude and don't seem to care that you are unhappy. The information in the package tells you that calling thier 800 number is free. But it isn't and they refuse to credit you those minutes waiting on hold for them. Voicemail is not automatic as you would expect, but has to be activated, they say in 24hrs, it has now been a wek and no voicemail, ask for a supervisor they have to call you back, but never do. I am sending in my refund for the phone and telling them to kiss where the sun don't shine

Ready Mobile Have had loss of service causeing me to remove battery and reboot 1
joe 2007/11/29

Have had loss of service causeing me to remove battery and reboot phone to get it back.
Also have to be carefull when makeing calls as I have found i will go into roaming where i should not be again causeing me to reboot phone to reset services.
As well with lack of support makes this phone more trouble then it is worth.
