Page Plus Prepaid Wireless Service Review

Overview

Founded in 1993 as a pager service provider -- hence the name -- Page Plus began offering cellular phone service in 1998. They offer a number of per-minute and monthly plans, using the Verizon Wireless nationwide network to provide service.

Pros: Page Plus provides plans that can fit most users' needs, including their 12 dollar monthly plan. They also activate Verizon phones, which allows customers more options.

Cons: While users can bring their own devices, Page Plus has few phones of its own to offer. Only their most expensive plan provides a robust amount of data.

Been using PPC since 2007 and I have 4 phones on their service. With Verizon, I was forced to take their limit plan for $45 for 1200 mins. and $50 for 1gb of data per phone;A total of $95 for each phone; $380 a month; $4560 a year. With PagePlus I could choose the $12 plan for each phone: $48 total per month; $576 a year, saving $3984 which I used to take my family on a long over due vacation.

I was with Cricket wireless for more than 10 years. Their sevice and phones were horrible! I was going to do a phone financing plan for a new Galexy Samsung 4. I decided against it and purchased a refurbished iPhone 4 and went with page plus that same day! It is a Verizon phone. Reception is great. With Cricket I couldn't talk inside my house. Now I can. The price is right. No problems. I'm jut sorry I didn't make the switch sooner! I thought I may have gotten something for being a loyal customer all these years but really as bad as the economy is,I have to look out for number one. You won't regret Page Plus i promise!

I have used PP for about 4 years. I use it for my work phone as I travel about the countryside here in the south. The price is great. I usually buy the $25 pay as you go card and get 400+ minutes that I can take 120 days to use. I have had no problem with service since I have used PP. My only problem is that I get very poor reception at my home (the Verizon tower is about 12 miles away)is the only drawback I have and I don't think that is PP's fault. I have an AT&T tower about 1/4 mile from my house and my wife gets great reception on her AT&T phone. However since I get a phone that I can use for my work at a very reasonable price I have elected to stay with PP. I think they deserve 5 stars. I am using an old Verizon phone I got from a relative and it does the job. I have activated different phones with PP over the years and have been provided with good service each time. I will stay with PP after looking at what else is available out there for a pay as you customer.

The phone SERVICE is good, can't beat the price. However, do NOT, and I cannot repeat strongly enough: DO NOT EVER buy a phone from PagePlus. Buy a Motorola or whatever somewhere else. I bought a Kyocera S2300 directly from PagePlus, wouldn't take a charge. Called them. Was told I had to go to Kyocera for warranty coverage (NOT made clear at point of purchase). Called Kyocera, was told I had to send it to their "Service Center," aka Reliance.us for repair or replacement. I had to ship it at MY EXPENSE, did so. That was April 19, 2013, today is May 13, and they still have my phone. On top of that, they're accusing me of damaging it. I sent it back in pristine cosmetic condition in THEIR OWN packaging (Styrofoam-enclosed box packed inside heavy-duty cardboard box filled with bubble-wrap: No possible WAY could it have been damaged except by their repair person! All I get is the run-around, while being charged my monthly bill.....and I don't even have my phone! I paid for it, it didn't work, they have it AND my money, and I see no end to this chaos. Do NOT buy from PagePlus.
