Overview
Mojo Mobile, based in Haiwatha, Iowa, was founded in late 2005 as a division of Ready Mobile.
It is designed for frequent callers, as it offers a free nights and weekends feature, a rarity among prepaid services.
Pros: Free nights and weekends are a huge plus. Ten minutes of free airtime upon activation is a nice bonus, too.
Cons: Mojo Mobile has one of the shortest minute expiration periods we've ever seen in the prepaid industry. The call plans are also very expensive (20 dollars gets you just 80 minutes), and never fall below 15 cents per minute. Minutes expire very quickly, making it more sensible to purchase in lower denominations, which means an even higher per-minute rate. No transactions can be made online.
Detailed Provider Information
Plans: Mojo Mobile has five denominations of top-up cards. The 30 minute card costs 10 dollars, the 80 minute card costs 20 dollars, the 140 minute card costs 30 dollars, the 250 minute card costs 50 dollars, and the 500 minute card is 75 dollars. All top-up cards, except the 10 dollar card, includes unlimited nights and weekends. The 10 dollar card comes with 320 night and weekend minutes. You must have peak minutes available in order to use free nights and weekends.
