This phone is a good phone cause you can just text and do not call nobody if you text alot and do not use the phone you in good shape. the other cell phone place you going to have to pay for texting to so what is wrong with these phone i like yhem and i want another people need to start buying them cause they just lost money by buying the high price phone and they break and then they going to have to buy a new phone the same week they get one cause it had break or it is cut off when you talking on it

This system is horrible. Almost every time I use the phone, I have to redial the number I am calling, "Please redial the 10-digit number and the # sign". If I get a Verizon tower, forget it, "The call cannot be completed". At first, it was annoying, it has become intolerable. My wife has had a Trac Fone for years and has never had to redial a number. I would highly advise against purchasing a Simple Freedom phone.

It is OK. I liked my Tracfone better. Minutes are high. The Free Texting is a JOKE people. As a dissapointed Mom said texting charges on next money on phones. But free talking! Never put money on your phones again. Free! ! ! ! ! !

Enuf already. This is neither Simple or Freedom. 2 stage dialing everywhere I go! Had to go online to find out what the heck was going on with that redial thing when I was traveling. That is ridiculous and unacceptable. Customer service is in India no less! Today after a long wait I got a supervisor who was a US citizen just so I could tell her how unhappy I was. I don't care how much money we thought we would save. This phone is headed to the trash!!

Customer service is terrible, they cant solve a simple issue of User Registration for Text Messaging that allows you to block phone numbers on their web site. Cant register SF wireless number. C.S. rep says never heard of User Registration.

simple freedom has been really good to me but theres only one thing it is so hard to download ringtones win u want you have to wait around all day long it gets so boring...........

The reason we signed up for this plan is to have a phone when we are at the lake cabin. It made more sense to have a pre-paid plan because we just use the phone occassionally. What a JOKE! We use this phone very little, but the money seems to disappear into never never land. We constantly get charges to our phone in the wee hours of the morning that we have no idea what they are for. The latest is a $32.95 charge for "SUBSCRIBER STATE CHANGE". By the way, $32.95 is the balance we had left on the phone. Still trying to find out what this is for since the phone has never left the state and the time this happened according to our account record was 4:00 on the morning. Like others that have commented, if there was a zero rating possible, that's what they would get.

I do like this phone a lot, besides the fact that their customer service is very poor. It tells me that i can get ringtones, but i cant. It tells me that its unable to retrieve catalog. I just got this phone 2 days ago. I put 120 on the phone and now its telling me that i only have 16 left. That cant be true. Other than that i do like the phone.

Customer service poor unless you ask for their tech support. I had problem with $$ disappearing when I didn't use phone. When I first got it, I got strange text messages and didn't know source. Replied with who are you and stop sending. After many calls to cust svc found out they recycle phone numbers and I got one that had been inactive for 10 months. However previous owner of number had subscribed to a "joke a Day" and I was getting charged big $ for this. They were in Dublin, Ireland. AT first alltel cust sve said stop text service on my phone and that would stop problem but it didn't. After at least 6 calls I finally got it fixed by tech. Beware. Other than that, I like the phone and they did credit me back for the over $50 charged for that joke service.

It's a great plan to have if you are not a frequent user. The cost for service is reasonable. I do suggest you be aware of the text messaging-- it uses a lot of mins.

this plan is so great i text more when i'm in school and need to stay in touch with my friends it is great.

I would rate it a "0" if I could. I put $30 on my son's phone just to find out 1 week later he was out of money. All he did was text. When I called simple feedom customer service I was told he had 70 text messages OK you do the math that is not $30. After getting very angery They credited his account because they had overcharged him. Please keep check of your use. I also asked them about the so called texting after your minutes run out. You are just running up a bill and when you put money on your phone they take it due to the text messaging you have been using.

Simple Freedom is alright but they suck at some points of time

I would rate this phone with zero starts if possible. Half the time I cnt check my voice mail from my phone I have to use a landline and when I do I still am charged my minutes. Besides that the rates on prepaid cell phones are wack.....

i rate it 5 stars b/c it haz been very gud. also i jus want to no y it uses up alot of min but i ok plus u cnt down load ring tones b.c u dnt carry thew service i think u shud cget these gemesz and ring tones even if u dnt have the service carrier

i think simple freedom phones with the company alltel is wack because where i stay at you can talk to noboby unless u text or let that person call you because you can't call the person you want to call. Somebody might have an emergency and you can't get in touch with them as quick as you can

loved my simple freedom phone but in april of last year my phone was switched from simple freedom to verizon which i don't care for, you got more coverage area with simple freedom and if my phone were to go bad i would have to look for another pre-paid carrier which would not be with verizon because there you are charge .99 cents a day even if you don't use your phone kinda defeats the use of a prepaid phone you use your card up in 30 days with verizon, i don't pay the .99 cent perday charge because i was switched by simple freedom wish they would come back with simple freedom in our area would buy a new phone

I have been with Simple Freedom for maybe three years now, and I haven't had many problems with the service, or the phones. Though I don't make much calls, I do tend to run up my time by text messaging. There is a Motorola flip phone for the service now, which I was told wouldn't work in my area, but it did. And greatly, might I add. So I say you really can't go wrong with this service. And with Wal*Mart spreading like weeds, getting phone cards isn't hard at all.

this prepaid service is very good!!u can text for free!!i had cingular and the charge for the texting!!but this nokia i got i about to die from my texting!!i send about 1000 text a day!!!

my phone has been messing up from day 1 the ringer wont work the speaker phone wont work and now my phone has turned off and will not turn back on at all and i cant seem to contact anyone about my warenty

I have had nothing but problems with this service. In january I was unable to add minutes to my account. said they didn't recognize my cell phone number. Impossible to get a live person to talk to. I have 8 hours accumulated minuets and if I don't add another 15.00 I will lose them. They referred me to Verizon Wireless. Same kind of service there, big hassel

I don't get very good service

You get free text after u use all minits, until ur cards expiration date. I can just use the minits and text for months with no charge. Sweet HUH!

Would be zero stars if possible. Service no longer will work in roaming areas. I get a prompt from American Roaming Network asking for a credit card in order to place a call. Have been talking to their tech support since November (Jan now) with no resolution of problem. If others have experienced similar problems, maybe class action would be the solution.

i give this 5 stars because i haved tried alot of pre-paid phones and simple freedom i have been using since it came out with the 3585i in 03
and since then have own that and the 3587i,KX1 Soho and the best so far is the camera phone KX16 Candid has great features and free txt,IM & E-mail

Simple freedom is stupid u spend more money with them than u would with a monthly bill and they give no special offers like free nights and weekends

i used simple freedom for a long time and aside from having difficulty reaching customer service, i was quite happy with them. but when they gave us over to verizon, i dropped them because verison has no coverage in my area.

i love the alltel simple freedom phone it lets me call whoever i want to call and its so tiny and cute.

The ONLY reason I went with a prepaid phone is because I only use my cell phone when absolutely necessary, and I don't want to pay a monthly service charge for something I'm not using. I buy a $25 card every 90 days, which means I pay $8.33 per month. I chose Simple Freedom because it is the only prepaid phone with service in my hometown (where I am more likely to use it because I am traveling). Their customer service is virtually non-existent, and I haven't been able to access my voice mail from my cell for months. When I have voice mail, I have to find a landline phone to retrieve the message, while still being charged for that airtime (?) They randomly send me text messages to let me know they lowered the per-minute charge...and charge me for receiving a text message. Every time I've try to call customer service, I've gotten a recording saying they can't answer my call due to high call volume, and promptly terminate the call! I can't imagine how frustrating it would be if I actually used my phone on a regular basis! Oh...I almost forgot...even though I bought my phone at Wal-Mart in Madison WI, it evidently isn't an alltel area, and I have to double dial every number I call. This pretty much defeats the purpose of having a directory in your phone, as you have to memorize the number while it's dialing it, and then enter it again any way. Plus, I regularly get a message when I'm trying to call my own voice mail saying that I'm not allowed to call that number from my phone (HUH?!?!)

Can't send pictures. Contacted them twice by e-mail. They say they will respond within one business day.
They never responded. I called them 4 times, each time I am told to wait for an operator. Within a few seconds, the call is terminated.

Minutes aren't too ridiculous, haven't had any real customer service problems. Good phone for kids. I have found Virgin Mobile has the best prepaid features and bang for your buck.

Simple Freedom is really deceptive in not telling you on the packaging that you cannot get pictures out of the kyocera phone, and they don't have any follow up info online about it. Their service tech that I called wasn't even aware of it!

There web site for renewing air time is always having problems and then you need to call them to add time and they cherge you a service charge on top of the 20 dollars the rest of the service is ok.

If I could, I would give zero stars. Simple Freedom is behind the times. You can't download ringtones to the Soho KX1. Although the phone has browser capability it doesn't recognize the cell # to permit access to the web. I wasted my money buying the phone and the service and would not recommend this provider to anyone. No games can be downloaded if the phone does not have Axcess and why don't they put this type of information in the item description before purchase. Thumbs down for Simple Freedom and the Soho KX1 phone!

Good solid phone (Nokia 3585), somewhat spotty service in small towns, good rural coverage, one caveat --YOU LOSE YOUR TIME AND MONEY NE IS NOT RENEWED ON TIME -- THERE IS NOT A GRACE PERIOD!!!!!

I GOT 120 MINS FREE MINS FOR ACTIVATING ONLINE..NEXT MORNING..MY BALANCE WAS 0.00 THAT WAS SOME BULLCRAP I CALLED C/S AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM SO THEY RESTORED MY ACCOUNT..THIS SERVICE IS RIDICULOUS I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.. I live in rural northern Michigan, and Simple Freedom is one of the better pre-paid phones. Excellent and dependable coverage, even away from the Xways.

Now I know why I am not getting the coverage I used to! They sold out to Verizon! I was never informed. Used to really love Simple Freedom, now I hate it! 2 stage dialing alomost everywhere I go sucks. I am looking at other prepaid plans and coverage.

My folks are retired and Rave about this phone "plan"! If they like it, anyone will. User friendly. Simple Freedom. I discontinued my Tracfones and just got simplefreedom phones!
