Virgin Mobile to get LG Optimus Elite
posted by Joe on March 5th, 2012 - 7:30 am | Virgin Mobile

It might not be the prettiest handset, and it might not pack the most power. But the LG Optimus Elite does carry NFC — Near Field Communications — that will eventually turn our smartphones into our wallets. The device, as the Optimus Elite, is already available overseas, and rumor has it that it’s coming stateside to Sprint. It will also hit Virgin Mobile in due time. It’s fairly low end, with an 800MHz processor, 3.2-inch screen with a mere 320×480 display, and just 512MB of RAM. But for a prepaid Android, that’s not all that bad. Look for it on Virgin around the end of May. I can’t imagine it costing more than $120.
