Virgin Mobile re-introduces $20 mobile broadband plan

There has been plenty of change lately with Virgin Mobile‘s Broadband2Go plans. The latest is that it put a 2.5GB cap on the $50 plan, with slower speeds to follow once that cap is breached. They also have a $10 plan that provides 100MB during a 10-day window. Apparently they also have a $20 plan, sold only with the purchase of a device at Walmart, that provides 1GB of service. Now they’re opening that $20 plan up to everyone, but with a catch. If you sign up for the service at, say, Virgin Mobile’s website, you’ll get only 500MB of data for your $20. Clearly, it’s better if you get your broadband modem at Walmart so that you can take advantage of double the data for the same price.
