Virgin Mobile Canada picks up LG Rumor

While Telus and Bell are going to charge for incoming text message, it appears that Virgin Mobile Canada has no such plans. In fact, they’re even releasing a device which is pretty awesome for texting. It’s the LG Rumor, a phone that’s been around for a while, yet certainly serves its purpose. While it does feature Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel camera, the slide-out QWERTY keyboard is the main focus of this phone. Prepaid customers might have to shell out a few bucks for this one: $199.99 to be specific. You can knock it down to $79.99 with a three-year plan…but who wants to do that? Pic after the jump.

   Do not get this phone it is junk. I am having nohing but problems with it. Nobody ants to fix or replace this phone.

   Great phone. Picked it up Xmas 08 for $99, and am happy with it. Does everything well, and call clarity is super. Screen could be bigger, and faster web access would be nice, but whatever…
   And Virgin customer service is top-notch. Got $20 activation credit, plus another $30 credit for auto top-up.
