Virgin and Boost offer insurance to existing customers
posted by Joe on May 2nd, 2012 - 7:33 am | Virgin Mobile
Handset insurance isn’t common for prepaid carriers, but Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, both subsidiaries of Sprint, do offer their customers insurance for $5 per month. The catch, as is typical for insurance, is that you have to purchase it within 15 days of buying your phone. For the month of May Boost and Virgin are offering insurance not only to new customers, but to their existing ones. Any customer can sign up and pick up device insurance for that same $5 per month. If you need to file a claim, you just pay the deductible and get a new phone. You can find more specific information on the insurance policies, including enrollment instructions, at Boost Mobile’s website and Virgin Mobile’s website.
