LG Rumor 2 definitely coming to Virgin Mobile

A few months ago, before we learned of the Virgin Mobile acquisition by Sprint, there were whispers that the LG Rumor 2 would hit the prepaid carrier. It got a couple of positive notes in the comments of that post, so those people are probably happy that this will happen. An Engadget Mobile reader picked it up in contest rules. Which, of course, you can enter if you want to win the Rumor 2.

   The phone is already available at Radio Shack for $129.99.

   It will be added for sale at Virgin’s website on October 27, 2009.

   I bought the LG Rumor 2 from Virgin MObile. I seems that you can only get it through Radio Shack at this time. I want to say, its an awesome phone. I just love it. Its about time to get a real phone. I had the T-XC phone and it stunk. terrible reception and drop calls all the time. This phone is unbelieveable. Great signal no drop calls. I get many bars that I never got from thr T-XC phone. Its fast, super clear pictures, I can’t same nothing but great things. i was told by a rep from Radio Shack that we will start to see even better phone in the future coming our way for Virgin now that Sprint owns it. So far I am a happy customer with the LG Rumor 2. Ita about time to get a good phone from Virgin Mobile. Its worth the $129 I spent on it

   Can you write a text longer than 160 characters on the Rumor 2 or is it like the other VM phones and stops writting the message at 160?

    It’s a good phone for texting. However, don’t waste money on a data plan. Internet apps rarely connect even if you’re sitting next to a router. Virgin mobile did not include the usb cable to connect your phone to the computer. Nor is there a way to add free ringtones or back up the phone’s data. No three way calling on VM. Better to use it on Sprint’s network.

    dis fone iz awsome i had the motorola clutch 1465 wit boost and day sucked i didnt hav service anywhere not even n mi house i jus got da fone 2day and it iz awsome if u get u will enjoy it i am lovin da fone right now and so will u

    dis phone is really great. it better thsn the rumor part one? the onli thing that sucks is that it dosnt take videos and it dosnt send them either. but the phoone looks very glossy and nice. it has a great feel in ur hand. the phone also has gud service. it has that cuz it is still on sprints network. another thing that also sucks is that if u want ringtons u hav to buy.
