Verizon now allowing iPhone 4 and 4S on prepaid smartphone plan
posted by Joe on October 17th, 2012 - 7:30 am | Verizon Wireless
When Verizon announced its $80 prepaid smartphone plan earlier this year, it felt underwhelming. They already offered unlimited talk and text with mobile web for $50 per month. The new plan amounts to $30 per month for 1GB of data. Plus, they only offered it with a single handset. They later quietly added more handsets, and a few of them were enticing. But few were as enticing than the latest handsets: the iPhone 4 and 4S. The plan works best if you already have one of these handsets; to buy one outright is still expensive (the 4 is $450 and the 4S is $550).

You can buy a used iPhone 4S on crigslist for about $300. I got a five month old white 16G , with all the connectors. It’s like brand new and even came with AppleCare+.
Using it on my prepay plan, it will pay for itself in six months!
