Verizon INpulse gets unlimited texting to any network

unlimited messaging to other Verizon subscribers for their INpulse prepaid service. This cost $10 per month, and provided a number of free messages to other networks. Now we hear, via a kind poster at Howard Forum that they’re now offering an option for unlimited messaging plan to anyone in the U.S. Details after the jump.

It will cost $20 per month, which might seem bad, but it seems par for the course for Verizon. If you have a ton of friends on another network, it could make sense. You do get 250 additional messages with the $10 plan, though, so that’s something to consider.]]>

On Nov. 1, 2008 I purchased a $30.00 pin receipt. I called the number for customer service & had my plan changed to the $1.99 package. Now, I’m wanting to get the unlimited text for $10.00 a month. I only have one problem; this morning my account only has $17.00 in it. The only person that I have called is another verizon user. So, what’s going on?

  2. Theresa McGee on November 2, 2008 at 9:23 pm

Somebody had better hurry up and see to this problem. I thought verizon was better than this. I’m sorry that I appear to be rude or demanding; but, this is rediculous.

  3. Joe on November 3, 2008 at 8:22 am

Theresa, that sounds like something you’d need to call Verizon about.

Ok, thank-you. Have a great day!

this review just saved me and my friend some cash..this is awsome they did this..but verizon didn’t do a good job letting their customers kno about this plan..cuz it took prepaidreviews.com telling me about it..

My question is do you have to pay the one dollar a day access if you are just texting?
This would come to $50 a month for unlimited Texting. Not bad I guess.

  7. Alexis on December 25, 2008 at 10:31 am

i just got a phone for christmas and i dont completely understnad it. i guess my advice would be to call?

  8. becky on January 19, 2009 at 4:30 pm

i used to have verizon, then i switched to at&t because verizon only had the texting plan of unlimited to other verizon users and 250 to others (at&t, sprint, tmobile, etc.) and i text a lot so that was a problem. i’m thinking of switching back to verizon.
so just to be clear..does verizon now have unlimited texting to anyone for $20/month?

  9. VIP on February 7, 2009 at 7:11 am

yes. unlimited txt is 20 dollars per month.

  10. Gabriel on March 5, 2009 at 9:14 pm

  15. haley on April 30, 2009 at 8:47 am

I want to get the unlimited texting to everyone. I still have money on my account so if I switched would it take the $20 out of that, or would it charge the credit card and leave the money on the account for phone calls? And isn’t it for the .5 a text plan like twenty a month too.. meaning if i got the unlimited it would be $40 a month?

  16. andrew on May 5, 2009 at 6:12 pm

i just got a prepaid phone and am wanting to text people but i don’t want it to use money from my card because i only have 15$ on it, so i was looking at getting a 10$ unlimited texting plan but i want to know how i pay for it, do they remove 10$ off my card every month or send me a separate bill?

  17. laura on May 19, 2009 at 3:44 pm

  18. Victoria on June 8, 2009 at 12:11 am

When you purchase the $20.00 a month bundle for unlimited text messaging, does it include picture messaging? Or is that seperate? I would appreciate some help because I am looking in to phones. Thank you. 🙂

  19. Joe on June 8, 2009 at 6:30 pm

    That includes picture messaging, Victoria.

  20. Rachel on July 26, 2009 at 5:39 pm

Heres what you do just to pay $20 a month
*Get the basic prepaid plan (125cents per minute and 20cents per text)
*choose the $20 unlimited messaging bundle (call customer service to set up when you activate)
*TA DA! you have unlimited messaging and IM (possibly email..im not sure) and you only pay 25cents per minute (it isnt free mobile to mobile for calling..only for texting if you do that)
    hope i helped

  25. javier on October 3, 2009 at 11:52 pm

so i get Unlimited normal, video, and picture messaging for $20.00/month without having to pay for a $2.99 fee of daily usage??

  26. Leah on January 6, 2010 at 8:51 pm

If I get the $10 a month texting plan, when I text will it also cost me a dollar a day I text even if I don’t call anyone?
I know that $20 a month does not cost the dollar a day but I don’t have any non-verizon friends that I text so I want to be able to just get the $10 texting plan.

  27. Bethany on March 8, 2010 at 7:49 pm

Okay, what if I bought a pre-paid phone, got the card, and bought a phone ment for texting, such as the env3, could I use it, still, even though I do the pre-paid service? Or do I have to use the pre-paid phone I bought?

  28. Bethany on March 10, 2010 at 7:01 pm

    Still waiting…

  29. Noby on March 16, 2010 at 3:17 am

OK this is how it works! Buy the phone from walmart cuz its cheapest there and get a 15$ pre paid card and a 20 unlimited card. Charge the phone then when you call to activate there are 3 diff plans I chose the one for 99 cents a day on days when used for unlimited calling to vzw customers and 10 cents to anything else. then add the unlimited messaging and if you dont call anyone or dont answer incoming calls it wont charge you for the balance that you have because all your doing is texting. and Im not 100% but I am pretty sure the 20$ unlimited texting lasts a month.

  30. Bethany on March 18, 2010 at 11:17 am

But will it work with like an ev3 phone? Or do I have to use the prepaid phone?

  31. Bethany on March 18, 2010 at 11:17 am

    env3*

  32. Bethany on March 18, 2010 at 11:18 am

    Nevermind, I found out I can. ;p

  33. Meghan on June 6, 2010 at 11:36 am

My balance on my prepaid celphone is $0, so if i get the $10 or $20 unltd txting card, does that mean that I’ll have unltd txting (to vzn only for $10)?

  34. Meghan on June 6, 2010 at 11:37 am

Also, my balance has been $0 since about February, and it is now June.

  35. ashley on February 23, 2011 at 6:29 pm

  39. Jim on May 14, 2011 at 8:52 pm

Watch out with Verizon’s free unlimited text messaging. When is it free but not free? When texting internationally. They can charge up to $.25 sending and $.20 receiving (Philippines). Depends on what country you are sending to. Be very very careful.

  40. Cody on May 18, 2011 at 3:03 pm

do you need the $20 bundle to use the Unlimited Messaging $20 card? And do you have to add airtime to text? Or is it just free all month for the $20 bundle? Please tell me.
