Verizon doubles prepaid data with limited time promotion
posted by Joe on November 21st, 2012 - 7:30 am | Verizon Wireless
When Verizon announced its prepaid smartphone plan back in May, we were underwhelmed. The $80 monthly fee for unlimited talk and text plus 1GB of data is only $10 cheaper than their postpaid version. Since prepaid users are not repaying a subsidy, that seemed like a pretty poor excuse for a viable plan. In an attempt to lure customers who are more drawn to smaller prepaid carriers, Verizon has started a promotion that doubles its data allotment to 2GB. The promotion lasts through January 31, 2013, and will remain effective for customers who continue paying their bills on time thereafter. Interested customers can sign up at Verizon’s website.
