I work for Wal-Mart in the Connection Center, and CDMA dominates my part of Iowa (regionally known U.S. Cellular and Verizon monopolize a majority of western central Iowa). As working at a Wal-Mart (Carroll, Iowa) with only one carrier to provide in the Connection Center, my Verizon prepaid and postpaid phone sales are extremely popluar and crucial to the area's residents. My Verizon prepaid phones fly off the shelves. Some of the products I offer as prepaid phones are the Samsung U-340, the Samsung U-410, the Starcom Blitz (slider text phone...VERY popular!), the Motorola W385 (also very popular...those seem to sell the most), the Motorola V3M RAZR, and the Motorola W755 (Premiering this week at my store). Yes it is true, the Motorola RAZR is starting to see it's way out the doors at my store...but I know that the RAZR sells well at my store, so I have had another Wal-Mart send their non-selling RAZR post paid phones (from a store in Des Moines where they have more competition) to my store so they can be readily available. The Prepaid RAZRs are being replaced by the W755s...but I have a good on-hand count of the RAZRs to keep the Verizon customer satisfied! Also, the hispanic population of a city 25 miles away whom shops our Supercenter tend to buy Verizon Prepaid phones and cards continuously so Verizon (who recently upgraded to EVDO Coverage in our area...a few months ago) isn't going anywhere soon!
