Straight Talk posts a good fourth quarter
posted by Joe on January 26th, 2010 - 11:00 am | Tracfone
Just a tidbit from Verizon’s quarterly report. According to Reuters, Verizon “is seen adding as many as 450,000 new users to its network from an unlimited prepaid service on Tracfone.” That means Straight Talk. While it’s not quite at the level of prepaid adds from earlier in 2009, it’s still probably the best quarter among them for the fourth. We’ll see how Boost fares when Sprint reports. I suppose they could get up to a half million, but my guess right now is that Straight Talk finishes on top.

YES YES YES! Straight talk is much better than the rest. When I was younger, my mom started me off with a prepaid phone. I thought it was for losers. Now I’m in college and a little short on cash. I tried out the straight talk plan and highly recommend it to anyone who needs a little more cash in their pockets. I get 1,000 minutes a month and 1,000 text a month PLUS 30MB of data for $30. That’s it — $30. No activation, cancellation, or overage fees. And being on the Verizon network makes it that much better. I now have more money in my pocket and life is good again.

I’m not surprised – Straight Talk is an awesome deal that everyone is finally hearing about. I have always been with contract carriers and complained about the fees and always going over my minutes. I decided that in the new year I would shop around and give prepaid a try – Straight Talk has been working wonderfully for me. I’m keeping nearly $50 a month in my pocket by switching to Straight Talk’s unlimited $45 a month plan – I don’t worry about too many texts, calls, or data usage. Being on the Verizon network means I finally don’t drop calls or lose reception – it’s a big deal for me since I’m living on my own for the first time. No contracts, a much better and broader calling area, and keeping money in my pocket has made Straight Talk a great choice for me.
The cancellation fees from my previous carrier were all worth it!

The straight talk program is really a great deal, especially in these times. They have a few plans, but for what its worth, the $45 plan where you get unlimited talk time and text messages. Also, you get unlimited data plan as well. And coverage and reception is great. PLUS, you don’t have to deal with annoying contracts or bogus fees. Right now, I am willing to say that the Straight Talk plan is the best offer on the market.

I made the switch to StraightTalk over Christmas and I’m enjoying a saving of about $30/month. Just signed up for automatic payment online and getting one month free! The only stipulation is you have to sign up for 12 months. At $45/month, I’m going to be sticking with this phone for a long time. A definite win win!

I have Straight Talk on the Verizon network. Bought it at Walmart and it’s an amazing deal. The Samsung Finesse is a very cool smartphone and paying only $45 a month for unlimited everything is the best deal going!
