Total Call offers standard rate international calling
posted by Joe on July 16th, 2009 - 7:30 am | Total Call Mobile
Is the market for international calls growing? After all, we did see MetroPCS introduce an unlimited international plan for $5, and it was met with much fanfare. Plenty of other carriers boast about their low international rates. Yet there is one provider which has a focus on international calling: Total Call Mobile. Their bread and butter is a low set of international rates. It gets better, though, as they recently announced free international calling to over 250 locations worldwide.
Free, of course, means no additional charge above normal airtime. The offer extends to those with an Anytime Plan, which provides minutes at 10 cents each, plus domestic and international text messaging for 5 cents. This includes many, many cities in Mexico, plus a number of other cities worldwide. A full list is available here, but it’s always advisable to call customer service to make sure that your specific destination is covered.
Total Call has always been an attractive option for those with friends and family overseas, and it may have cemented itself in that place with this deal. True, it’s all in all cheaper with MetroPCS, but there are doubts as to whether that can work long-term. We hope to hear news like this from Total Call more often.

Total Call is a Sprint MVNO,or airtime reseller. They however, cannot use Sprint phones on their network, which really dampens the deal.Verizon’s resellers like Air Voice Express and Page Plus give a lot more flexibility on allowing any Verizon phone on their network. This is serious Sprint reseller handicap…
