Well the info told to me from excutive customer service is that it was a computer error and not an upgrade....meaning it was not planned so compensation is fruitless...I was left without service for 4 days and spent 17 hours on the phone with csr reps and supervisors....told one story after another....was told even free service ...which in my case never happened.....t-mobile customer service is full of what you want to hear but not the truth.....still havent been given the minutes i paid for....

I went to the nearest T-Mobile store and saw that there is already a way to get a monthly plan without a contract. You just buy a phone for the real price of the phone and you can have a monthly plan without a contract. They also have a Flex Pay deal where you can get a "piggy bank" that you put as much money in it as you want and your monthly charge is taken from that. If you don't have enough money in that account for the month, you can still make calls for 20 cents a minute.

Sweet deal, Melissa. We'll keep checking the website for news on this.

I was actually skeptical about the "service upgrade" line, since it seems like PR-speak. But if this is true, it's pretty big news.

I have some news on a new prepaid option for T-Mobile that might be the reason they are upgrading the system. I went into a cellular store this weekend and they said they just got the information from T-Mobile about a monthly plan with no contract and no credit check. I think it was $45 a month and included free nights and weekends and a bunch of anytime minutes. No mention on the website yet but you may be able to get the service in a store near you.
