Straight Talk now providing loyalty discounts
posted by Joe on April 12th, 2011 - 7:30 am | Straight Talk
On its blog last week, Straight Talk hinted that it would provide discounts to its loyal customers. They teased the promotion by posting a link to log into your ST account — which means that non-ST users were left in the dark. Of course, a trip to Howard Forums yielded an answer, which you see above. Paying up front for multiple months of service now gets to a small discount compared to the normal month-to-month arrangement. The three-month commitment is $42 per month, the six-month commitment is $41.67 per month, and the 12-month commitment is $41.58 per month (so, in all reality, you’re best off with a six-month commitment). Apparently you need to already be a Straight Talk subscriber, so head to Straight Talk’s website if you want to take advantage.

Lame. Boost mobile’s shrinkage is a way better idea.

Nice. I truly wish they would beef up their device selections. They only ever had one 3g device and you can’t even find that any more.

Like ike says; it’s not as good as Boost’s loyalty reward, but it’s definitely indicative of straight talk’s, and tracfone’s competitive nature. And quite frankly the price of unlimited for less than $42 a month is extremely good.

Is the service area the same for StraightTalk and TracFone? I can’t get service on my TracFone around our local lake. I thought about switching to StraightTalk. If they are the same it won’t matter.
