Pay as you go BlackBerry in the UK
posted by Joe on January 13th, 2009 - 8:30 am | Prepaid Services
In the later part of last year, we discussed the coming of a prepaid BlackBerry solution. Now it seems that plan is moving forward. Via BlackBerry Cool we learn that the BlackBerry Pearl on a pay as you go basis is “coming soon.” Is it only a matter of time before it hits the U.S.?

Probably not. It’s well known that prepaid is more widespread in Europe than in the U.S. Yes, we know the American prepaid sector is growing, but that’s more a development related to economic concerns than it is the true spread of pay as you go. So while it’s coming overseas, we likely have a long way to go before this launches in America.
There’s no pricing available now for the Pay As You Go BlackBerry, but we’ll be sure to keep updated as the situation develops.
