Kyocera Lingo goes live on Cricket

You know what would be a novel idea? Launching a QWERTY phone on a service that offers unlimited text messaging. After all, you’re paying to send as many texts as you desire, so you might as well be able to bang them out in efficient fashion. Finally, Cricket has heard that call, and they’ve answered with the Kyocera Lingo. It looks like a normal candybar phone at first, but you can flip it open, like a book, revealing a full keyboard and wide-screen display. Neat-o.
Standard features apply, including a 1.3 MP camera and Bluetooth capability. You can also take advantage of Cricket’s mobile web feature. Mobile Magazine calls it an LG enV without Verizon’s V CAST. We can’t really disagree.
It’ll set you back $200, but that’s pretty standard with any Cricket phone.

Can you record things and then set them as a ringtone?
