With the massive number of prepaid MVNOs and carrier options, it’s sometimes hard to keep track of it all and even harder to compare and decide which company is the right one for you. So, every once in a while we’re going to go through and do a Face-off of two popular companies, comparing plans and services to help you better decide. Today, we’ll look at two companies – AT&T and Sprint MVNO Good2GO Mobile, and Verizon MVNO Page Plus Cellular. Ultimately, both companies offer competitive pricing, but Page Plus is the clear choice for customers needing international features or unlimited data, while Good2GO offers more basic plans appealing to low-data users. Here’s how they compare:

Good2GO Mobile – Plans range from $30 — $60

Good2GO offers a $5 discount for customers enrolled in auto pay. The only real variance between the plans is the amount of data included. You can view the plans in detail here.

Page Plus Cellular – Plans range from $12 — $80

There are quite a few plan options offered with Page Plus, and the company also offers auto pay discounts starting at $2 and working up to $5.95. Unlimited Talk/Text  Is it offered? What is the lowest price?

Good2GO Mobile – Yes, all of the plans include unlimited talk and text.

Page Plus Cellular – Yes. Unlimited talk and text starts with the $29.95 plan

Data Ranges  What is the most and least data available?

Good2GO Mobile – The $30 plan includes 500 MB of high speed data, and the most expensive $60 plan includes 3 GB of high speed data. Data on these plans is hard capped, with additional data available for purchase at $10 for 500 MB and $20 for 1 GB.

Page Plus Cellular – The $12 plan includes 10 MB of data, and the most expensive $69.95 plan includes 7 GB of high speed data. With the two cheapest plans, data is hard capped, but after that data is unlimited and throttled to 2G speeds once the data allotment is used.

Pay-As-You-Go Rates  What are the pay-as-you-go per minute rates?

Good2GO Mobile – Good2Go offers pre-made 5 day and 15 day pay-as-you-go options, featuring unlimited talk and text and 10MB and 100MB of data, respectively. There is also a monthly option, with rates running at about $.05 per minute, text, or MB. You can view all pay-as-you-go options here.

Page Plus Cellular – Page Plus offers pay-as-you-go minutes that are good for either 120 days or a year. The company offers flat rates, starting with $10 for 100 minutes (good for 120 days) and working up to $80 for 2,000 minutes (good for one year). You can check out the details on its website.

International Calling  What options are available? What does it cost?

Good2GO Mobile – No international calling is included, it’s only on a pay-as-you go basis.

Page Plus Cellular – All plans except the $12 one include unlimited international texting and $10 of international calling credit. Activation Fees  How much do they cost?

Good2GO Mobile – There is no activation fee and SIM cards are $5 for CDMA phones and $10 for GSM phones.

Page Plus Cellular – There is no activation fee and SIM cards are available for $.99.

BYOD  Can you activate your own device?

Good2GO Mobile – Yes. Pretty much any device should be able to be activated with Good2GO, you’ll just need to purchase a SIM card.

Page Plus Cellular – Yes. Page plus allows phones to be brought in for activation, though the company prefers to advertise its variety of phones for sale. You can check compatibility here.
