Page Plus latest to add app store

Verizon is gearing up for its own. Next on the list is a carrier you might not expect: Page Plus. They just announced their own app store, which is available on BREW-capable Page Plus phones. The best part about that is that you can use your Verizon phone, which is likely to be BREW-compatible, on the Page Plus service. Because Page Plus typically does not host smartphones, this app store likely won’t be as extensive as those from Apple and BlackBerry, but it’s still a plus for Page Plus customers. They can download ringtones, wallpaper, games, and more. There’s also word in the press release about streaming video. Page Plus seems to be making a push for more subscribers. In addition to their attractive Talk n Text plans, they recently added texting bundles. We’ve also heard (though it’s unconfirmed) that they will offer new plans starting in August, including an unlimited plan. While many MVNOs crumbled a few years ago, Page Plus has continued to stand out.n]]>
