MetroPCS to launch music store this year
posted by Joe on March 29th, 2010 - 7:30 am | Page Plus
MetroPCS made a splash last week when it announced that it would launch their LTE network this year, perhaps before Verizon Wireless. That gets them the headlines, but it will likely take plenty of time before LTE has an actual effect. What will take effect sooner is an announcement that kind of flew under the radar. MetroPCS will launch a music store in the second half of 2010. Powered by RealNetworks, the store will feature over nine million tracks, plus ringtones, ringback tones, video, and more. The details are light at this point, but it does appear that Metro is getting serious about delivering top content to their subscribers.
