Ultra Mobile Plan Overviews

As I was looking through the MVNOs to see if there were any super noteworthy companies that deserved an article for Monday, I came across Ultra Mobile. This T-Mobile MVNO has been around for a couple of years and has several offerings ranging from $20 to $60. But what really caught my attention is their phenomenal international rates included in all of the packages. Ultra Mobile is really geared towards the international market, and they have plenty of affordable options for making international calls, including international minutes with nearly every plan, Call Anywhere Credit (CAC) for select countries and unlimited talk to certain countries. All of their plans include unlimited talk and unlimited global text. Here’s an overview:
  • $19 – 100 MB 4G LTE, $1.25 CAC
  • $29 – 500 MB 4G LTE, $2.50 CAC, 1000 international minutes
  • $39 – 500 MB 4G LTE, unlimited low speed data, $5 CAC, 1000 international minutes
  • $49 – 1 GB 4G LTE, unlimited low speed data, $10 CAC, 1000 international minutes
  • $59 – 2.5 GB 4G LTE, unlimited low speed data, $5 CAC, 1000 international minutes
All of the plans come with basic features like

Unlimited International Calling Details

Now, here’s the part that really sold me. If you are on the $19, this is a list of the countries that include unlimited voice calling. The countries with (m) at the end include not only landline calls but also mobile calls.
  • Canada (m)
  • China (m)
  • France
  • Israel
  • Mexico
  • Portugal
  • Singapore (m)
  • Thailand (m)
  • United Kingdom
  • Venezuela
Not half bad, eh? From what it sounds like, to those countries your number will effectively read as a local number, allowing for unlimited chatting. For all of the other plans, the list include the above countries plus the following:
  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Brazil
  • Chile (m)
  • Cyprus
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Guadeloupe
  • Hong Kong (m)
  • Hungary
  • Indonesia (m)
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Lithuania
  • Malyasia (m)
  • Malta
  • Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Norway
  • Peru
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovakia Republic
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Taiwan
And as if that wasn’t enough, plans priced $29 and up also get 1,000 international minutes which can be used to make calls to an additional 45 countries, some of which allow for mobile. You can take a look at the full list at the bottom of this page to see which countries are included. And, if you really want to call someone who isn’t living in one of those 100+ countries, then most plans also come with Call Anywhere Credit to make calls. This credit can be topped up if you run out before the end of the month. For more information, check out their website. Sound awesome? I thought so, and I don’t really know many people overseas to call. Sound pretty good? Have you known anyone who has used Ultra Mobile? Let us know in the comments!]]>
