TextNow Wireless, a Sprint MVNO, is one of those companies that I tend to overlook for one reason or another. However, it was brought to my attention that they have some awesome deals going on as part of their
After Christmas Sale. Check it out:

I spoke with a TextNow representative, and he said that the deals will go until they run out of inventory, which is both good and bad depending on how much demand they have. Every time I have called their customer service, there has been a message about ‘unexpected call volume’ so I wouldn’t be surprised to see these deals go pretty quickly.
Because TextNow Wireless is one of those companies that I don’t write about a whole lot, here is a breakdown of the plans they offer for these awesome phones:
- Tall – $18.99: 750 roll-over minutes, unlimited texting and incoming calls, 500 MB
- Grande – $26.99: 1250 roll-over minutes, unlimited texting and incoming calls, 1 GB
- Venti – $39.99: 2000 roll-over minutes, unlimited texting and incoming calls, 2 GB
Plans are no-contract and expire in 30 days. All of their plans are optimized to use WiFi, so if you run out of MB or minutes, you can still make calls, texts and surf the internet using a wifi connection. There doesn’t seem to be a top-up option, but you can upgrade your monthly plan if you need more minutes one month and then just downgrade the next month. Seems a little awkward, but with the proliferation of Wifi, I don’t expect it would be a problem for most people.
