Puppy Wireless Releases LTE Pricing

Puppy Wireless, a relatively new Verizon MVNO run by Page Plus reseller Kitty Wireless, recently announced that it would support Verizon’s LTE as of June 1, 2015, but didn’t have any ideas on exactly what the pricing would look like. Well, it looks like Puppy has formally released its LTE plan list, and for light users, it looks pretty nice. Here’s the LTE plan lineup:
  • $10.95 – 50 minutes, 50 texts, 50 MB
  • $12.95 – 150 minutes, 150 texts, 50 MB
  • $13.00 – 5 Minutes, 2000 texts, 5 MB
  • $14.95 – 250 minutes, 250 texts, 50 MB
  • $17.95 – 350 minutes, 350 texts, 50 MB
  • $19.95 – 300 minutes, 300 texts, 300 MB
  • $22.00 – 5 Minutes, 4000 texts, 5 MB
  • $24.95 – 400 minutes, 400 texts, 400 MB
  • $29.95 – 750 minutes, 750 texts, 1 GB
  • $29.95 – 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, 500 MB
  • $39.95 – Unlimited minutes, unlimited messages, 1GB
For the most part, the LTE plans are the same as the non-LTE offerings, although the four cheapest plans were increased by $3 and also will have more LTE data than the non-LTE plans. It’s probably a pretty safe bet that Puppy’s speeds will be similar to other Verizon MVNOs and will be slightly throttled compared to Verizon postpaid users, but that’s to be expected. Puppy is also expected to offer off network roaming, greatly increasing its service area. Prepaid Phone news reported that the off-network roaming will be available for $0.25/minute or less. Puppy Wireless is still in its early launch stages and is technically still in Beta, I believe. Still, I have heard some pretty positive things about the service, and Kitty Wireless is a well-respected brand. For more information on Puppy Wireless, check out their webpage.]]>
