MetroPCS releases Huawei M735

No, it’s not another Android phone, nor does it run LTE. But today MetroPCS launched the Huawei M735. It’s a pretty basic slab phone with a touchscreen display. It’ll perform most basic tasks, such as light web browsing, music playing, and picture taking, but not much more. Still, at $99 it’s a value. You can get it at MetroPCS’s website.

It is great to see that the prepaid operators like Metro and Straight Talk are bringing in smartphones. They are obviously not the leading edge, but they are very affordable and do most of what the fancier phones do.
