MetroPCS picks up 249,000 net subscribers

Biiiig quarter for MetroPCS. They haven’t released their financial numbers from the quarter, but they have put out some subscriber numbers, which is all we really care about, anyway. MarketWatch has the story. They hadded 249,000 net subscribers, bringing their total to 4.8 million. That means they should hit 5 million by the end of the year. Churn was down 0.4 percent from a year ago, though it was up 0.3 percent from the second quarter. There’s always the seasonal aspect to consider with additions and churn, too. The fourth quarter is traditionally the best, obviously.
