MetroPCS loses 186,000 subscribers in Q2

 

MetroPCS lost 186,000 subscribers in the second quarter, but apparently that isn’t quite bad news. Analysts expected them to lose about that many, so it wasn’t a point of contention on their quarterly report. MetroPCS’s stock price actually went up, because their earnings, despite the lost customers, beat expectations. That’s the name of the game, I guess. In any case, the subscriber loss was a huge swing from the second quarter last year, when Metro added nearly 200,000 subscribers.
