MetroPCS customers can experience LTE speeds. They’ve lit up the network in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, which join Detroit, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Las Vegas as the only commercial LTE markets in the country. MetroPCS also announced nationwide coverage, though the details on that are scant. It appears to expand the company’s roaming networks, but it’s unclear by how much. The new coverage can be seen on the Metro site under the coverage tab and is pretty clear on what is and isn’t covered. As far as the new coverage, I just traveled yesterday through Minnesota (where there used to be no Metro signal) and it worked perfectly. Voice, text and data all worked with no issues and a very good connection too.
Not sure I agree. I live in the Southeast and it looks as if my home area is covered but when I enter my zip, it says I am NOT covered. Neither is a nearby town of approximately 30k pops. I suggest you enter the zip(s) of any area you live in or frequent to be sure before you commit.
