LTE headed to Las Vegas this year from MetroPCS
posted by Joe on March 25th, 2010 - 7:30 am | MetroPCS
We’ve heard plenty about MetroPCS launching LTE network sometime this year. At first it seemed like a long shot, but as we’ve progressed it’s become apparent that they’re serious. They became even more serious at CTIA, where they announced that LTE would be coming to Las Vegas later this year. Seriously. They haven’t said what other markets will launch and when, but having a semi-solid timeline for their first launch is a huge step. Samsung, the company helping MetroPCS with infrastructure work, will also manufacture the first LTE handset for the company, the SCH-r900. They’re staying tight-lipped about the device, but we’ve seen video on LTE, which you can catch after the jump.
Excited at all? Or is Metro overextending itself?
