T-Mobile’s prepaid brand MetroPCS
launched a new promotion last week for customers looking to add up to three lines to an existing, active account. Now through
May 19, 2015, MetroPCS is offering customers a free phone (after mail-in rebate) for all new lines and activation. While many of the phones are simple, entry-level devices, several of them are 4G capable so it’s a pretty good deal.
Here’s how to qualify for this promotion:
- Have an active account on MetroPCS
- Add up to 3 lines of service and purchase from a list of select phones. You must pay for activation and first month’s service on the new line(s)
- Fill out the Mail-in Rebate form before the promotion ends and, of course, mail it.
- Receive a prepaid card for the amount of the phone
Customers have two options in the terms of phones. The following phones are free after the mail-in rebate:
- Samsung Lite (4G LTE)
- LG Optimus L70 (4G LTE)
- Kyocero Hydro LIFE (4G)
- Alcatel Evolve 2 (3G)
- Alcatel Fierce 2 (4G)
Alternatively, customers can instead choose to receive a $30 discount on the following phones:
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Samsung Galaxy S5
- Samsung Galaxy Avant
- LG Optimus F60
MetroPCS has several
competitive plan options ranging from $30 to $60 with unlimited talk, text, low speed data and limited high speed data on all plans.
MetroPCS allows customers to bring their own device or purchase a new device, but for this promotion you must, of course, purchase a device. MetroPCS does allow customers to
unlock GSM devices once they have been active for 90 consecutive days, so if you don’t like the service, you will be able to switch to another network after a few months and keep the free phone.
