Samsung Offers Test Drive to iPhone Users

samsung test drive

If you have an iPhone and always wondered how the other half lives, then now is your chance. Samsung has announced a new promotion called Test Drive in which they are leasing their flagships to any eligible iPhone customer for $1 for 30 days of use. The phone will be shipped with a SIM card and once the 30 days are up, customers can either choose to return the device with no obligation or keep the phone and upgrade. Samsung is offering any iPhone owner who is over the age of 18 a choice of the following devices:
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy S6 Edge +
  • Galaxy S6 Edge
At the end of the 30 days, users must return the phone in good or excellent working condition. Minor scuffs and scratches are allowed, but cracked screens, malfunctions of speaker or camera, major scuffs and scratches and other damage will incur a $100 fee. Broken devices or unreturned devices will result in the user being charged the full retail which varies from $720 – $840 depending on the device. This is open to all users–both prepaid and postpaid, and would be an excellent chance to see what Android has to offer. Provided that you take care of the device, it’s pretty risk-free. At the time of writing, Samsung is currently out of test devices, but with the popularity of the offer I expect the promotion will be going on for a while. Yes, they ran out fairly soon after launch but Samsung has said that it intends to expand the program. If you’re interested, you should be able to sign up for updates on the page I linked.
