Leap to discuss expansion plans at analysts day
posted by Stuart on June 13th, 2007 - 1:22 pm | Cricket
We hate it when we find a relevant news story, and it’s just four paragraphs long. That’s how long we want our posts to be. Nevertheless, we’re not going to let something like that get in the way of reporting the news. Not rain, nor sleet, nor torrential downpour would keep us from that (though a power outage would probably do the trick).
Anyway, Leap Wireless — parent company of Cricket and Jump Mobile — are holding an analyst day today. What does that mean? We’ll let Citigroup analyst Michael Rollins do the ‘splaining for us:
We believe Leap’s upcoming Analyst Day on June 13 can set the stage for an accelerated market deployment plan, continue the discussion for a possible affiliate program, and expand on the company’s opportunity to streamline its operations.
Neat-o. Rollins further speculates that the companies current stock price of $84.45 (close of business on Tuesday) will rise to around $108 in the near future — and that’s an improvement on his previous prediction of $96.
We’ve sung Cricket’s praises before, so we’re definitely intrigued. If anything big come of the analysts meeting today, we’ll be sure to let you know.
