Cricket expands network to cover more of the country

Big news from Cricket wireless today. They’ve announced that they now provide nationwide coverage, including service in 125 top U.S. cities. According to the email I got from Cricket, this means they cover more of the country than Boost Mobile (Sprint Nextel) and T-Mobile, though I’m sure both of those carriers would dispute the claim. They’ve also made changes to their plans, which you can view by clicking the Cricket link above.
As far as I can tell, you can still only activate a new Cricket account in their primary coverage areas. I have a call in to Cricket about the matter, so if this is inaccurate I will update.

I highly doubt they have more coverage than Boost and T-Mobile. Boost works in all Sprint coverage areas and T-Mobile, while not the biggest, has a lot more coverage.

they do actually, depending on how you look at it… cricket owns boost… no doubt, your dumb if you can;t tell that… but tmobile, cricket technically does out cover them because cricket isn’t counting in t mobiles roaming… since t mobile roaming isn’t technically part of t mobiles company, cricket is saying that they over cover t mobile, which in a sense, they do.

jordan are you high? cricket doesn’t own anything. all they have done is signed a large roaming agreement with 40+ regional carriers (yes i cant believe theirs that many either) so therefore they haven’t expanded there own coverage. They still don’t have there OWN coverage like boost/nextel and t-mobile

“The company said it is partnering with about 40 different wireless carriers across the nation to achieve nationwide coverage.”
so like i said before. cricket themselves are still regional, they just now finally have nationwide roaming. big difference from them being nationwide.

Actually, Shat Bricks. Cricket has had nation wide ROAMING for quite some time. They are now expanding their nation wide unlimited coverage. It doesn’t matter what regional carriers they make a deak with because we have the service now either way :p

Actually read the article. Again like I and the article said. They now have Nationwide roaming for FREE. They themselves have yet to expand there own native coverage across the USA.
