Cricket didn’t bid on Cricket.com
Hi there! If you're new to the site, you may want to subscribe to the the feed.
On Monday, Stu found a bit of news that implied that Cricket Communications placed a significant bid for the domain Cricket.com. While yes, there was a $6 million bid which was rejected, it did not come from Cricket Communications or its parent, Leap Wireless. We apologize for misinterpreting the article in that manner. After the jump, Cricket spokesman Greg Lund will clear the air:
“Cricket Communications has had conversations in the past concerning the domain cricket.com. However, there have been no recent conversations and no offer was made by Cricket Communications. Any reports to the contrary are erroneous.”
So there you have it. Simple and to the point. It makes sense that Cricket would want Cricket.com. It just wasn’t meant to be at this point.

I feel it must be Cricinfo.com ( Wisden Group ), which must have made the offer.
But the launching of IPL ( Indian Professional League ) it makes sense to invest in the domain and reap rich benefits.
Teams have been sold for $ 1.75 billion.
The media rights have been sold for 1.026 billion USD.
Indian is a Cricket Crazy Nation.
