posted by Joe on August 30th, 2012 - 9:00 am | Cricket
Another year, another new set of rate plans for Cricket. They let us know these were coming, though, and starting September 2 they’ll be available. Most notable of the announcements: Muve Music will now be available on all Android smartphones, and with all Android rate plans. That means you can get Muve for as little as $50 per month. Muve has become a big selling point for Cricket, so it’s good to see them putting it front and center with all of their offerings. After the jump, the details on the rate plans.
Feature Phones
There are two rate plans for feature phones.
$35/month: Unlimited talk and text.
$45/month: Adds unlimited MMS, international SMS, and mobile web data, plus 3-way calling, call waiting, and call forwarding.
Smartphones
All plans contain everything in the feature phone plan, plus unlimited Muve Music for Android users.
$50/month: 1GB of full-speed data before throttling.
$60/month: 2.5GB of full-speed data, plus visual voicemail and tethering
$70/month: 5GB of full-speed data, plus visual voicemail and tethering.
PAYGo
Cricket also changed their PAYGo plans. These are limited-minutes plans that start at $25 for 300 minutes and cap at $45 for 1,000 minutes. Each allows for unlimited 3G mobile web. The $45 plan even allows for Muve Music, but obviously on the limited feature phones that have Muve available. The $50 and $60 smartphone plans are listed on PayGo as well, but they’re pretty similar if not identical to the normal plans of the same price.
