Cricket broadband now available in San Antonio
posted by Joe on September 24th, 2008 - 7:30 am | Cricket
There’s nothing we love more than a small company launching in a new market. We’ve seen plenty of this from Leap Wireless and MetroPCS this year, and we’ll surely see more from them in the near future. Yesterday, we got word that Cricket will now offer its broadband Internet service in San Antonio. It’s the same deal as always: $40 per month, $35 for existing Cricket customers. It’s unlimited, too, so you can make it your primary Internet connection.
I love how Cricket is positioning itself as a complete alternative to landline and cable/DSL Internet. If you have unlimited calling and unlimited broadband through them, why would you need the same services from the phone or cable company? Unlimited calling and unlimited broadband for under $100 per month? You’re unlikely to find a deal like that — especially since it’s mobile — anywhere else.
Now, if Leap could just do something about the numerous customer service complaints, like those found in the Cricket wireless user reviews, they’d be in great shape.

Man, does the management at Cricket not care about their customers?! I guess not.
