Cause and effect: Suing your wireless carrier
posted by Joe on August 24th, 2007 - 10:30 am | Consumer Issues
Strictly from a consumer standpoint, we’ve been loving the recent developments regarding cell phone contracts. In case you’re behind, a 9th Circuit judge ruled last week that the clause in AT&T’s contract that bars class action suits is unenforceable. This comes a month or so after the same ruling was made against T-Mobile. However, there’s always a catch when you’re sticking it to the man. Now that class action suits are moving forward in California, it figures more will be brought in other states. What does this mean for you? A greater possibility of higher service prices. And if they’re going to raise prices in response to lawsuits, why don’t they all just go prepaid and get it over with? Just throwing that out there.
