Rogers officially launches chatr discount prepaid brand

Well, that moved quickly. On Wednesday we wrote about a possible new prepaid brand from Rogers Wireless. Late yesterday Boy Genius Report pointed us towards a press release from Rogers that officially announced the brand, chatr. They didn’t supply many details beyond the voice and text only options, so no data here. There will, however, be unlimited plans available, though only “within defined chatr zones,” whatever that means. Rogers says that they will announce plans and availability later this summer.
