You have to dig to find Boost’s $1/Day Chat plan
posted by Joe on February 10th, 2010 - 11:00 am | Boost Mobile
In browsing HoFo yesterday, I found an interestingly titled thread in the Boost Mobile forum: No more Daily Plan? Clearly this required further investigation. The user claims that the $1/Day Chat plan is no longer listed on the site. Even though he or she has it, he or she wonders if Boost grandfathers it for current users, and furthermore if you can switch it to a CDMA phone. Upon reviewing Boost’s website, I found the answer to both questions.
While the $1/Day Chat plan doesn’t show up on the main plans page, it still exists. You can find it here, listed along with other plan options. It’s the same as it ever was, so there’s no need to worry about Boost getting rid of it. To repeat, you can still sign up for the $1/Day Chat plan.
For the second part of the question, no, you cannot use it with a CDMA phone. It’s just for iDEN customers. I’m not sure why — and I do wonder why Boost buried it where it’s a bit difficult to find — but that’s the way they’re doing it.
