Boost Mobile to Offer LG G2 Friday

According to Boost Mobile marketing materials, they will be offering the LG G2 starting this Friday, November 21. Expected to cost around $280, this smartphone has some pretty sweet specs and a cool-sounding sliding feature that allows you to quickly swipe between up to three running apps. Here’s what it looks like under the hood:
  • Android 4.4
  • 2.26 GHz quad-core processor
  • Snapdragon 800
  • 5.2 inch capacitive touchscreen w/Gorilla Glass
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16 or 32 GB memory (not sure which for Boost, but both are avialable on the market)
  • no SD card slot. 🙁
  • 13 MP back camera
  • 2.1 MP front camera
  • non-removable battery (16 hr talk time)
  • LTE compatible
I’ve not played with this phone personally, but it looks like it will be a pretty sharp phone, just looking at the specs. The sliding between apps sounds pretty cool, but I admit I’m not sold on how useful it will actually be. The fact that the battery isn’t removable is a little disappointing, as is the lack of an SD card slot, but the phone still looks reasonably solid and has some excellent reviews floating about the internet. As with all Boost phones, be aware that this phone will be locked to Boost Mobile. However, for dedicated fans, this phone would definitely be an decent midrange choice.]]>
